Love Your Leader!

We're currently up in Cairns working with the Regional Qld Leadership team, following a fab few days with some of the Coal to Coast crew last week. Our Team Leaders are some of the most inspired and inspiring people we know and we always return from spending time with them energised and excited about what they're achieving.  Our Love Your Leader post on Facebook last week shows exactly how much you value them also.  Remember, whether it's stretching to achieve the Super Incentive or setting up your first 60 days, your Team Leaders have a wealth of experience to help you and are your best resource.  Book in a Business Coaching Session with them, get them along to a Cook Ex to help out or buddy up with them at training and we promise, great results follow! If you're interested in finding out more about leadership opportunities in Queensland, we have an info session coming up soon.  Talk to your Business Development Manager to find out more!

January's Challenge - Double Duty Changing Lives

Image
Happy 2018 everyone!  We hope you had a wonderful break and are ready to kick some Thermomix goals in the new year. For those who were at Monday night's branch meeting, you will have heard Julie-Ann and I share the Leadership Team's approach this year to ensure that every Queensland Thermomix sale does double duty and has an additional impact in the community wherever possible. We're kicking off this focus in January, with a really special initiative.  January for many of us is about back to school - getting kids ready, contacting text books, labelling lunch boxes etc.  And we're all pretty fortunate that we can do that however for over 1.1 million children in Australia who live in poverty, it can be a distressing and anxious process. As a State community, we'd like to try and make a difference to one of those lives.  And so, we'd love to introduce you to Ace, who is a 5 year old little boy from Brisbane.  Through the Smith Family charity, we have the opp

School holidays - Thrive, don't just Survive!

Image
December is here which means many things:  loads of teacher presents being churned out in Thermomixes everywhere, gingerbread house decorating competitions and kids are home from school! Some people love school holidays (no lunch boxes!), others hate them (please don't let it rain and mean the children stay inside!).  Regardless of whether you're a lover or a hater, it's a great idea to plan for school holidays and think about how you will keep the momentum you've built in your business continuing while you have the kids at home. School holidays actually present us with an amazing opportunity - to reach new customers, to promote the Thermomix in a social setting and to create more in the kitchen with our own cooking.  So, what are our tried and tested tips to help you not just survive school holidays - but thrive in them! Open For Business School Holidays are no different to the rest of the year - you need to know when you want to work and when you don't.  Ev

Superstar Shelley!

We're so excited to share with you a new resource that we've added to the blog this week! Julie-Ann spent some fabulous time on Zoom with the delightful Shelley Whittaker, discussing the opportunities she has created in her business all by embracing phone calls. Shelley took inspiration from our wonderful Horizons keynote speaker, Keith Abraham , and made a decision to put into practice Keith's "7 points of contact a day" habit.  Almost two months on and Shelley's personal and team business has never been so successful.  We're super excited to share Shelley's tips with you, and encourage you to be brave for 5 minutes and embrace the phone too! You can view Shelley & Julie-Ann's interview here !

Open House!

We are now one week post Open House and I think everyone's feet have just about recovered!  A huge thank you to all of you who encouraged your customers and potential customers to come along and discover more about their Thermomix - we had almost 1200 people through the doors on the day!  The impact of that to our business is incredibly difficult to measure because it comes back to us in so many ways - simple word of mouth when people have a positive experience is priceless. There were a crew of 70 Consultants and Leaders on the day who made that positive experience happen.  A huge thank you to each of them - whether you were there for an hour or prepped for a week, your contribution was greatly appreciated.  Open House was a shining example of what can happen when a team works together with an approach wholly based on service.

A special resource for you!

Many of you may have had the opportunity to learn with the wonderful Bev Unitt, of Be You Success Coaching .  Bev features on a couple of our wonderful mix-eLearning modules (the most popular being Open For Business ) and always has some great tips to share that can help you to maximise business outcomes. Recently Bev has started a regular podcast service, featuring professionals from the Direct Sales community.  This week, the podcast featured our very own State Development Manager, Julie-Ann Allen.  It's a great session and Julie-Ann's passion for our business, and her desire to support people to achieve success, shines through.  We are so fortunate to have Julie-Ann leading the way in Queensland! You can listen to the podcast here on our own resource page, or access directly from Bev's site .  Be sure to also check out many of the other very valuable podcasts Bev shares!
